Information we collect

We may receive your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, travel dates, passenger numbers, destination preferences, enquiry messages and booking-related information you choose to supply. Technical and security information, such as IP addresses, browser details and request logs, may also be generated when you use the website.

How we use information

We use relevant information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange travel services, provide customer support, improve our website and service, prevent fraud and protect security, and meet applicable legal or compliance obligations. We handle personal information with regard to Sri Lanka’s applicable personal-data-protection framework, including the Personal Data Protection Act as amended and applicable requirements as they come into operation.

Enquiries and your choices

Our website currently helps you prepare an email draft. An enquiry is sent when you choose to send it through your email app. Travel-planning details passed to the contact page may appear in the page URL and browser history. Please avoid including sensitive documents or sensitive personal details in those fields. Email and WhatsApp operate under their providers’ own privacy terms. Marketing consent, if offered in future, will be separate and optional.

Sharing for travel arrangements

We share relevant information with appropriate hotels, transport providers, airlines where applicable, guides and destination partners to fulfil requested travel arrangements. Insurers or visa-service partners may receive relevant details where you specifically request those services. Technology and professional service providers may process information to support our operations, and disclosure may be necessary where required by law. We do not sell customer personal information.

International services

Travel arrangements may require information to be shared with service providers in other countries. Their legal protections may differ from those in Sri Lanka. We take reasonable steps to limit sharing to what is needed and use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for enquiries, travel arrangements, support, record keeping, dispute resolution and applicable legal requirements. We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect it, but no internet service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Analytics and cookie preferences

Life of Travel may use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand website usage and improve the website. Non-essential analytics is activated only after you choose Accept analytics. You can reject analytics without losing access to the website and change your choice later through Cookie settings in the footer. Hosting or security infrastructure may still process technical request information needed to deliver and protect the service.

Requests about your information

Contact us to ask about your personal information, request access or correction, or request deletion or restriction where applicable. We may need to verify your identity and retain information where there is a lawful reason to do so. We will consider requests in line with applicable law and explain relevant limitations.
